EP - coating, tough hard, electrostatically conductive (antistatic)
Substrate: Concrete, cement screed (with risk of rising moisture penetration)
Application of a coating system in accordance to the use. The epoxy system is electrostatically conductive, free of nonyl phenol and shows gloss surface.
Electrical resistance RE : 104 - 106 Ω.
Thickness: approx. 3 mm; Use: Medium up to heavy stress.

  Specification / product description
Pos. 1 The substrate (concrete > C 20/25) must be prepared by a dust-free pre-treatment, e.g. Blastrac® shot blasting and vacuum cleaning. Observe instructions of use and technical specifications. Pull off strength: 1.5 N/mm², maximum moisture content 6 % by weight (need to be proven).
Pos. 1.1 Remove / equalize the existing unevenness at the surface by grinding or milling and Blastrac® shot blasting.
To be carried out on instruction of the supervisor: 1 - 3 mm.
Pos. 2 Priming layer onto the prepared surface with a 2-component special epoxy resin; flash point > 90ºC. The product is free of nonyl phenol.
AB-POX 010, colourless.
Consumption: approx. 400 - 500 g/m², lightly sprinkled with clean dry quartz sand Ø 0.4 - 0.8 mm (approx. 0.5 kg/m²).
Pos. 3 Scraping layer onto the primed surface with a 2-component special epoxy resin; flash point > 90ºC. The product is free of nonyl phenol.
Approx. 1 : 1 filled with clean dry quartz sand (special grading curve).
AB-POX 010, colourless.
Consumption: approx. 600 g/m² resin plus clean dry quartz sand.
Once cured, carefully abrade the surface using a grinder. Afterwards, thoroughly clean the surface with an industrial vacuum cleaner.
Pos. 4 On the prepared surface the connection to earth must be installed within a radius of approx. 10 metres in accordance to the guidelines using spliced copper cable. Ensure that the connection to earth has excellent adhesion to the coating surface. The connection to earth must be controlled and tested by a qualified electrician.
Pos. 5 Conductive layer on the prepared surface with a 2-component, water-based, conductive epoxy coating. The product is free of amine.
AB-POX 760 LS, black.
Consumption: approx. 100 - 130 g/m² (including 10 % potable water).
Pos. 6 The contour of the surface following coating layer with a 2-component, tough and hard, electrostatically conductive epoxy resin. The product is free of nonyl phenol.
AB-POX 460 AS, pebble grey approx. RAL 7032.
Consumption: approx. 2.0 - max. 3.0 kg/m².
Pos. 7 Rubbish, drums, residues and debris must be disposed by the performer in accordance to the local regulations. Keep the building site tidy.
